A 3.5kg, 8-month-old Ragdoll cat was admitted to the veterinary hospital with symptoms of rapid breathing and abdominal breathing. After examination by a veterinarian, the cat was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, as evidenced by left atrial enlargement, myocardial thickening, and poor systolic function. Additionally, the cat had pulmonary edema and pleural effusion.

The treatment plan included the administration of furosemide, butorphanol, and Pet ICU oxygen therapy. The cat was allowed to begin eating two hours after Pet Brooder ICU and Pet Oxygen Chamber treatment began. The following day, the cat received furosemide, low molecular weight heparin, and clopidogrel. Within a few days, the cat's appetite and mental state had returned to normal.
After three days of treatment and observation, the cat was discharged from the hospital with a stable condition. The cat was prescribed furosemide, clopidogrel, and benazepril to manage its condition.
